Edward Song, DVM, Diplomate ABVP-CF, ABVP Founding Fellow Canine and Feline Orthopedics, CVA
*CF-Canine and Feline
Dr. Song, a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) in canine and feline medicine since 2011, renews his credential meticulously every 10 years to uphold uncompromising excellence in patient management. In 2007, he established a bespoke veterinary clinic in south Orange county, California, nurturing it through economic turbulence until its successful transition in 2019, marking the close of a 13-year chapter.
Early 2019, he initiated the OC-LA Mobile Veterinary Surgery Service, crafted to deliver cost-effective, precision-driven surgical interventions without compromising quality—whilst carving out deeper hours for his loved ones. Through strategic alliances with regional clinics, he extends their capabilities, performing complex procedures on-site and returning pets to familiar hands sooner. That foundational zeal for service, ignited when he qualified as a veterinarian in 2000, still resonates in every blade he lifts.
Dr. Song is one of the Founding Fellows of the prestigious Canine & Feline Orthopedics Fellowship under the ABVP umbrella—a selective pathway reserved for Diplomates like him, intensifying skill in orthopaedic diagnostics, therapeutics and rehabilitation. His fellowship role shapes future protocols, raising the bar nationwide; further insight awaits at the official ABVP Canine and Feline Orthopedics Fellowship site.
At home, Dr. Song shares life with Amber, a pharmacist of equal tenure since 2000, and their 2 accomplished boys. Sundays find him gliding across greens—handicap respectable, trophies modestly stacked—before easing into mid-week Pilates sessions that keep his stance and precision razor-sharp. Between rounds and reformer sets, the family maps out national park treks, weaving indelible threads into their shared story.
